Project background
For a long time, there weren’t any shared design language for Capital One Commercial Bank’s mobile applications. In fact, the existing apps had distinctly different look and feels. In 2018, with upcoming major updates and rebranding of Commercial banking services, leadership felt it was the right time to bring visual consistency to all applications. I worked with the Design System team (once only web focused) to establish the baseline of mobile design system.

I worked with
I mainly worked with 3 Commercial Banking mobile designers and the Design Lead of the Design System team. There were frequent ad hoc collaboration with mobile developers (iOS and Android) as well as leadership of the Design System team.
My role
• Create the baseline mobile design elements and components
• Led weekly mobile designer discussions to further expand the design system
• Weekly collaboration with Design System team weekly
• Supported a mobile app team to help them re-skin the application with the new look and feel
